Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using EmailProbe (emailprobe.dev), including our API at api.emailprobe.dev, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the service.
These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and EmailProbe. By creating an account, generating an API key, or making API requests, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms.
2. Description of Service
EmailProbe is an email validation and disposable email detection API. The service provides real-time analysis of email addresses to detect disposable, temporary, and fraudulent email domains through multi-layered intelligence including domain blocklist lookups, MX record analysis, IP clustering, and pattern detection.
EmailProbe offers the following plans:
- Free Tier: 2,500 validations per month at no cost
- Starter: $19/month
- Growth: $49/month
- Scale: $149/month
Plan features, limits, and pricing are subject to change. Current details are available at emailprobe.dev/pricing.
3. Account Registration
To use EmailProbe, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide a valid, working email address during registration
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Maintain the security of your account credentials and API keys
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
- Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account
You are solely responsible for safeguarding your API keys. EmailProbe stores API keys as SHA-256 hashes and cannot recover lost keys. If you believe your key has been compromised, revoke it immediately and generate a new one.
4. API Usage
Rate Limits
Each plan has defined rate limits to ensure fair usage and service reliability:
| Plan | Rate Limit |
|---|---|
| Free | 10 requests/second |
| Starter | 50 requests/second |
| Growth | 100 requests/second |
| Scale | 500 requests/second |
Exceeding your rate limit will result in 429 Too Many Requests responses. Persistent abuse may lead to temporary or permanent suspension.
Prohibited Uses
You agree not to:
- Scrape, reverse-engineer, or attempt to reconstruct EmailProbe's disposable domain blocklist, MX intelligence, or IP cluster data
- Use the API to facilitate the sending of spam, phishing, or unsolicited bulk email
- Use the API to enable or support fraud, identity theft, or other illegal activity
- Share, resell, or redistribute your API keys to third parties
- Attempt to circumvent rate limits, authentication, or any security measures
- Use automated tools to create multiple free-tier accounts to bypass plan limits
5. Data Usage & Crowdsourced Intelligence
When you submit email addresses via the EmailProbe API, the following occurs:
- Email addresses are analyzed in real time for validation and pattern detection
- Raw email addresses are never stored. Only SHA-256 hashes are retained for 30 days to prevent duplicate processing and abuse detection
- Domain-level aggregate data (e.g., total lookups, unique customer count, random local-part ratio) is extracted and stored permanently
- Structural analysis of email naming conventions (e.g., "word.word" or "wordNNN") is performed at the domain level
This aggregated, anonymized data is used to improve detection accuracy for all EmailProbe customers. This is our crowdsourced intelligence model -- the more data flows through the system, the better it becomes at identifying disposable and suspicious domains.
If you wish to opt out of contributing to crowdsourced intelligence, contact us at support@emailprobe.dev. Note that opting out does not affect the service you receive; it only prevents your query patterns from improving detection for others.
6. Intellectual Property
All intellectual property associated with EmailProbe is owned by EmailProbe, including but not limited to:
- The disposable domain database and blocklist
- MX record intelligence and mail server pattern data
- IP clustering data and infrastructure fingerprints
- Detection algorithms, scoring models, and pattern analysis systems
- The EmailProbe name, logo, and branding
- API design, documentation, and SDKs
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the API in accordance with your plan and these terms. This license does not grant you ownership of any data, algorithms, or intelligence produced by the service.
7. Payment Terms

- Your subscription will automatically renew each billing cycle unless cancelled
